The selection of PPGEn candidates can be carried out in three different ways:

1.5. The final average for approval is 7.0 (seven).

1.6. In the case of a foreign candidate, the selection process will be guided by CEPG, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant legislation.

2. Continuous Selection Process by Research Group

The Continuous Selection Process via the Research Group is for the participating members and registered in the PPGEn Research Group, a member of the CNPq Research Groups Directory.

2.1. The Candidate must regularly participate in the activities of the GP, be working with the Advisor for at least 6 months, have the Curriculum updated on the Lattes Platform and pass the English Language Proficiency Exam (for all Masters or Doctoral candidates whose Master's degree was taken in another institution).

2.2. The Advisor should request the process to the GP Leader in writing, highlighting the relevance of the Project and the trajectory of the candidate.

2.3. The selection will be made at a GP meeting and will consist of presentation of the Research Project of the candidate to the Evaluation Judging Committee made up of two doctors being one of the GP and one external to the Group, who will issue an opinion of approval or disapproval.

3. Continuous Selective Process via Advisor

The Continuous Selective Process via Advisor is intended for students whose supervisors have a Research Productivity grant from CNPq. Advisors may nominate candidates for enrollment, as long as the other requirements for selection and registration of candidates for the Masters and PhD programs of the Program are met.

3.1. Candidates for this enrollment must fulfill all the requirements of the Selection Process as they are developing activity with the Advisor for at least 6 months, have the Curriculum updated in the Lattes Platform and pass the English Language Proficiency Exam (for all candidates for the Master's or to those of Doctorate whose Master was studied in another institution).
